Welcome to the 20th edition of the International Wood Products Association’s annual publication, International Wood Magazine & Buyers Guide. For this year’s edition we are focused on community and identity. Forests and wood are integral to who we are and how we live. Wood is ingrained in our history, our livelihoods, and our communities. The stories in this magazine tell these tales of how the forests and wood surrounding us enhance our lives and support communities and jobs around the world.
Throughout my career, I have admired the work the IWPA team does each year to produce a beautiful magazine that serves as THE wood sourcing tool for designers, builders, and manufacturers interested in specifying wood products from around the world. As readers learn more about the amazing products and projects highlighted this year, they can flip back to our industry-standard Buyers Guide, which directly connects specifiers with suppliers that can help them source all the most beautiful and highest performing wood products from around the world. International Wood Magazine is a critical tool that helps IWPA advance our mission: to build acceptance and demand in North America for globally sourced wood products from sustainably managed forests. IWPA’s efforts help the wood products industry in North America serve its customers while also supporting the economic health of communities that rely on forestry for their livelihoods around the globe.
