Welcome to the 19th edition of the International Wood Products Association’s (IWPA) annual publication, International Wood Magazine & Buyers Guide. This has been an exciting year for IWPA, particularly as we welcome dozens of new members (page 50) and a dynamic new Executive Director to lead our association into the future (page 12). But even with all these changes, we have remained faithful to International Wood Magazine’s mission of connecting readers to amazing products and beautiful projects that utilize globally sourced wood products in breathtaking ways.

Each year we endeavor to produce a beautiful magazine that will serve as THE wood sourcing tool for designers, builders, and manufacturers interested in specifying wood products from around the world. After learning about how the most beautiful and capable woods are used in the projects highlighted in the articles that follow, readers can flip back to our industry-standard Buyers Guide, which directly connects specifiers with suppliers that can help them source all the most beautiful and highest performance wood products from around the world. Additionally, the enhanced digital edition of International Wood at www.IWPAwood.org includes even more exciting interactive content, as well as special digital advertisements that connect readers directly with the companies that make our magazine possible.

International Wood Magazine is a critical tool that helps IWPA advance our mission: to build acceptance and demand in North America for globally-sourced wood products from sustainably managed forests. IWPA’s efforts to advance its mission help the wood products industry in North America serve its customers, while also supporting the economic health of communities that rely on forestry for their livelihoods around the globe.

As you learn more about the value that IWPA provides, I am hopeful that you will consider joining us next spring for the 67th Annual World of Wood Convention from March 29-31, 2023, at the beautiful Hyatt Regency in Savannah, Georgia. We can’t wait to welcome members, their guests, and others who are interested in learning more about our industry with a full schedule of worldclass speakers, panel discussions, and networking events that will provide attendees with critical insight and intelligence.

As IWPA’s President, I also want to thank IWPA’s members, Board of Directors, and staff for all they do for our association and our industry over the last year. I look forward to meeting with all of you and discussing your interests going forward. If you have any questions about globally-sourced wood products or how our association and its members can help you select the highest quality wood products that can make your dream project a reality, please reach out today!

Sincerely,
