A Reinvention of Baltic Birch Plywood

Sergejs Kotov and Anton Chuikin teamed up in 2017 to fill what they saw as a void in the plywood industry. Their partnership, InstaCoatings, is taking a new approach to supplying Baltic Birch plywood panels to world markets.
InstaCoatings produces pre-finished, UV-coated plywood panels in a range of grades, sizes, dimensions and colors that were previously unavailable or very difficult to obtain. With these panels, furniture, component manufacturers, and distributors can order the exact products they need for their customers.
In the U.S., most panel processing lines fabricate 4' wide or smaller panels. The InstaCoatings production line, located in Riga, Latvia, employs a 5' line that is able to process and supply pre-finished panels of varying sizes, such as 5' by 5', 5' by 7' and 5' by 10' as well as standard 4' by 8's.
"Manufacturers love Baltic Birch plywood, but it is not always available in the grades and sizes they would like," said Kotov. "We are able to provide our customers with more flexibility, better yield, and the economy of scale."
"Customers can also be confident that the wood is sourced from legal and sustainable forests and that the production process is safe, sustainable and environmentally friendly," noted Chuikin.
InstaCoatings sources Baltic Birch plywood from small and mid-size producers who have a strong attachment to their land and take pride in the product they sell.
